Privacy Policy

DrafterPro is a 2D CAD application for iPad and Mac. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. In short: DrafterPro does not track you, shows no ads, and requires no account to use. Your drawings stay on your device.
Information we do not collect
DrafterPro contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and performs no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or share personal data. The app does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or contact details to draw, save, import, or export.
Information handled on your device only
The following stays entirely on your iPad and is never transmitted to us:
- Your drawings and documents — stored locally in the app's sandbox and in any files you explicitly open or save through the iOS Files system.
- App settings and preferences — stored in local device preferences so the app remembers your configuration.
- Drawing file timestamps — read to show modified dates in the Open and Recent Files lists.
- System timing signals — the device's uptime clock is read to time touch and Apple Pencil gestures. It never leaves the device.
The AI assistant
DrafterPro can hand part of your drawing to an AI provider you choose, so it can answer questions about it. This is the single exception to the section above, and it is entirely yours to control:
- It is off until you sign in to a provider with your own account or key.
- It sends only the context for the question you asked — not your file, and not your other drawings.
- File and author metadata is stripped before sending, by default.
- You can anonymise the geometry itself, and the app warns you before sending a large attachment or text that looks like a project, client, or licence number.
- Actions that would change your drawing ask for permission before they run.
What the provider does with what you send is governed by their policy — we are not a party to that exchange beyond passing it on at your request. We keep no copy, and nothing you send is used to train anything.
Purchases and subscriptions
DrafterPro offers a free trial and optional paid plans (monthly subscription, yearly subscription, and a one-time perpetual license). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your payment card or billing details.
To manage your subscription status, the app reports the App Store purchase receipt to our
subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, Inc., keyed by Apple's
per-vendor device identifier (identifierForVendor). This identifier is not your
Apple ID, is specific to this app on this device, and is used only to keep entitlement state
in sync — not for advertising or tracking. See

These four rows are exactly the app's Apple privacy manifest, and exactly the App Privacy details on the App Store product page. "Linked" means the value is tied to the anonymous identifier that tracks your purchase — not to your name or your Apple Account, neither of which Apple gives us. None of it is used for tracking.
Children
DrafterPro is a professional drafting tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and your choices
Because your content and settings live on your device, deleting the app removes them (subject to any files you saved elsewhere and any backups you control). On a Mac the purchase record is kept in the system Keychain, which the system clears with the app. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are governed by their respective policies.

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this address.
